We, at M.G. Polyblends, have developed
different grades of black masterbatches, which are based on end use
requirements such as jetness, protection from UV, conductivity etc. Carbon
black is mostly used in the industry as a black pigment due to its coloring
ability, cost effectiveness and superior end result. In carbon black the
surface area is inversely proportional to particle size, which means lower
the particle size, greater will be the surface area. In it the size of the
particles vary from 10 to 120 nm.
Higher surface area leads to increase in both jetness and UV resistance as
more surface area will be available for absorption of both the visible and
UV lights. With the tendency of Carbon Black to form aggregates, also known
as structure - the performance of black masterbatches primarily depends on
the dispersion of carbon black in the carrier resin. We use specialty
additives and processing aids, which causes carbon black to get easily and
uniformly dispersed in carrier resin. Thus it gives optimum performance in
the final applications. We manufacture carbon black masterbatches
containing upto 55% carbon black content in them.

In all the varieties of masterbatches
used in plastic applications, white masterbatch is the one which is most
used. White Masterbatch provides whiteness, brightness and opacity to the
final product. A variety of chemicals such as titanium dioxide, antimony
oxide, zinc oxide and zinc sulphide are used to provide these properties in
plastics. Some of the main reasons for use of titanium dioxide is for its
special properties such as average particle size (.19 to 0.22 micron), high
refractive index etc.
Our range of white masterbatches is based on superior quality titanium
dioxide. The titanium dioxide, which we use is selected on the basis of its
excellent properties such as undertone, color and opacifying / tinting
strength. It has a unique surface treatment that offers good dispersion in
plastics and has no effect on rheological properties of a polymer. In case
the titanium dioxide doesn't properly disperse in plastics, it may lead to
insufficient use of pigment and a loss of optical and mechanical properties.
Our white masterbatches are unique in a way that they contain specialty
additives, which makes the resin compatible with titanium pigment. It also
makes the resin to flow so that it gets dispersed properly. We supply these
masterbatches in different varieties, which depends on the percentage of
titanium dioxide and tone required ie. egg tone, bluish tone, violet tone
etc. It also depends on the end use application and processing techniques.
We manufacture white masterbatches containing upto 75% titanium dioxide
content in them.
» Color Masterbatches |

Our collection of color masterbatches is
available in different varieties of about 2000 different shades to meet
different industrial requirements. We have state-of-the-art facilities in
our colour matching laboratory, which enables us to develop colors as per
the choice of our customers.
We have every little detail of the compositions of masterbatches and
processing conditions in our records. This facilitates us to replicate /
reproduce the same masterbatches at anytime in future without any deviation
in colour shades or other properties.
We manufacture these color masterbatches with virgin raw materials and the
processing is done on the latest machinery leading to high quality products.
We use international quality pigments with superior functions such as high
thermal stability, colour consistency in every lot and excellent light
fastness. Our color masterbatches are highly suitable in varied industrial
applications including manufacturing of mono/multi layer film, Woven Sacks,
injection moulding, rotomoulding, blow moulding, HOPE pipe, wires and cables
etc.
